The Foundation’s mission is to provide children, who are in urgent need of treatment, with access to the latest advances in medical assistance, technology and rehabilitation offered by European medicine.
In recognition of the vast experience of leading charitable organizations in this field, we adhere unconditionally to such organizations’ existing procedures for the selection of beneficiaries. The Foundation agrees to provide assistance when the organization cannot continue to assist without a foreign partner. The Foundation’s own criteria are not numerous or complicated: we will step in once it has been established that a child in need of complex treatment and rehabilitation is neither able to receive them domestically, nor benefits from state funding. The Foundation thus sees its role, within the constellation of charitable organizations, essentially as that of a last resort, providing assistance in the most difficult situations… and thereby a last source of hope.
